Living the Great Commission - Locally
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)
At CBF our goal in missions is to form strategic partnerships with organizations who are able to reach people we cannot reach without help and offer them resources to help reach people they cannot reach without our help. We also know that if our work is to be sustained, it will happen through the viability of the local church. Therefore, we want to partner with organizations whose work strengthens a local church or a network of local churches.
At the same time, our focus is to use every mission experience, local or global, to equip participants for a lifetime of service to God and to personally live out the great commission.
